We've all heard it … "The kids are grown. We want an adult space now." Not this time. The lower level that had survived and sustained 4 kids needed to grow up, but not too much. In this project, we were to create an adult space, but a space that would be equally as inviting to returning college sons and daughters as it would be to their parents. Our challenge was to provide a space that provided sophistication without stodginess, and a playfulness without immaturity.
