Extra space and outdoor living are nice, especially when they can be used year-round.  This 3-season room easily accepts glass panels, providing 4 seasons of comfortable outdoor living.  To bridge the gap between existing deck and screened room, we added a walk-way between the two spaces, which provides a functional tie-in and also breaks the vertical column look of the center of the home.  A deeper overhang shades the south-facing gable end and an added "shade wall" cools the western sun.  Custom steel plates and a saddle bracket support a large arched beam, which is repeated in the shade wall.
