A wine cellar can be a luxury of many forms.  This one, designed for entertaining, showcases custom oak-plank cabinets individually highlighted by stone columns standing in support of tooled plaster niches overhead.  The look is completed by a rustic open-joist ceiling, natural slate tile flooring, and a hand-crafted, hand-hewn oak serving table that would be at home in the finest of vineyards.  Whether being served from one of several hundred bottles stored in any of six racks, or from a cooler holding a stock of personal favorites, the only thing missing at this table is a California address.
